Opstartbare USB-drives aanmaken op een eenvoudige manier.

Rufus is een programma dat helpt bij het formatteren en aanmaken van opstartbare USB-flash-drives, zoals USB-sticks, USB-hd's,...

Het is vooral bruikbaar in gevallen waarbij:

 u een USB-installatiemedium wilt maken van opstartbare ISO's (Windows, Linux, UEFI, enz.)
 u op een systeem moet werken waarop geen besturingssysteem geïnstalleerd is
 u een BIOS of andere firmware vanuit DOS moet flashen
 u een low-level formatteerprogramma wilt gebruiken

Ondanks zijn kleine bestandsgrootte levert Rufus alles wat u nodig hebt.

En Rufus is snel. Het is bijvoorbeeld twee keer zo snel als UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer of Windows 7 USB download tool bij het aanmaken van een Windows-7-USB-installatiedrive van een ISO. Het is ook iets sneller bij het aanmaken van opstartbare Linux-USB's van ISO's. Er staat een niet-uitputtende lijst van door Rufus ondersteunde ISO's onderaan de web pagina.

- Update FreeDOS and Grub4DOS to latest
